- Google Maps, Wikipedia and much more!
I am glad to introduce you some great new features I have just added to PodiPodi:
- Google Maps: search a location on google maps
- Wikipedia: search for a term in Wikipedia
- More control on the splash screen (thanks to cookies)
- Linkable commands: now you can link a command to any html tag in your page (i.e. flickr sunset)
I hope you are happy about these new feature and do not forget you are welcome to send me comments about them!
- Mullinx and flittr...working on other stuff as well
Spent sometime designing and coding some new super simple web application:
- mullinx: widget and jquery plugin that creates multi-directional links out of normal links
- flittr: twitter+flickr mashup presented as a gallery/slideshow that tries to connect a sentence from from twitter and a picture from flickr. It is basically a time waster on which you can spend your day without playing solitarie and enjoying the funny hidden link
- PodiPodi Joyful Version hits the playground!
We have just published a new playground where you can experience the Joyful Version of PodiPodi!
In the last period we have worked hard in order to release a "less geeky" version of PodiPodi, we have called it "Joyful Version". Thanks to it you can launch commands and interact with the mouse and clicking around.
This week we will publish the official release so everybody will be able to add a Joyful PodiPodi to a website! We hope someone out there like this version as well (ehy! the command line version is still here and working!)!
You can try this version on the special playground we have just set.We would be super happy to receive some feedback from you!
- Working on PodiPodi: a new screencast
We are working hard trying to design new ideas for PodiPodi. Enjoy the last video we have published in the screencasts page with some of the new stuff we are releasing soon. Would be great to have some feedback on it! Thanks in advance for your support!
- New command available: Twitter
Show the last twenty updates from a public user on Twitter! Just type-in twitter and see what the web master or owner is up to. This can be useful if you want to keep your visitors updated on your news from Twitter.
If you want to keep yourself updated on PodiPodi follow us on Twitter/PodiPodi
- New feature available: Google Gadgets
Now it's possible to extend PodiPodi with widgets from Google Gadgets!
Gadgets are simple HTML and Javascript applications than can be embedded in webpages, thanks to PodiPodi it's possibile to embed new functions without changing the layout of a website.
Try the weather command, it's a Google Gadget!
